ABOUT ME

Hello and thank you for stopping in! A little bit about me that makes me who I am... When I was young, we always had a camera around the house. My father snapped thousands of Polaroid photographs of our large family of eleven children. As I grew into an adult, I loved stopping at garage sales and seeing his excitement when he’d hold an old vintage camera in his hands. He was an aerial photographer in the Korean War and he inspired me to buy my first DSLR in 2012. Truly, my life changed after this. My eyes opened to the detail of the world around me. I began to obsess over the beauty around me. Some say it’s as though blinders have been lifted. All I know is that it's my truest, deepest connection with God. My first endeavors in photography included landscapes, floral, and still life. After a few years, I started taking portraits of friends & family and again that changed everything! I absolutely love hanging out with my clients and friends, and how wonderful to capture them as we run around the parks and play! My mission is to create portraits that reflect your true selves with fun, candid and relaxed sessions! Truthfully, my mission is that you have FUN and keep coming back to me! I spent most of my young life in Minnesota until I met my husband. With him, I moved around the US with our three small children. We eventually planted roots back in southern Minnesota and raised our family in a beautiful rural town with the sprawling vast countryside outside my doorstep. One of my favorite things to do is take long drives on old back roads, with my camera in the passenger seat. Oh, and I love chocolate of any kind. There’s always an adventure out there!
